north Bristol garden 1.
The owners of this north Bristol garden are an active retired couple who enjoy gardening. The plot was mainly lawn with small borders hugging the fences.
The existing patio was relatively small so the usable space was increased with the addition of gravel, which was visually softened with the planting of Lavenders and other perennials.
A small arbour was built in one corner of the garden accessed by a brick and gravel path.
The use of curves in the borders, lawn and path makes what was previously a formal rectangular plot into a relaxing informal space.
