The brief was to add some more plants to complement the existing 'living wall' in this school courtyard. All new planting would have to be in containers.

A vaguely Japanese theme emerged with a mainly green palette of bamboo, box balls and grasses such as Hackonechloa macra planted up in large stone effect containers. Specimen cloud-pruned Japanese hollies stand either side of the main entrance to the courtyard.
